GCS IS THE CLEAN CHOICE FOR VIXOL RELAUNCH

User-friendly GCS closure for best-selling Thai toilet cleaner brand will combat counterfeiters

 

IP Manufacturing, a leading FMCG manufacturer in Thailand, has chosen Global Closure Systems (GCS) to develop a new dispensing solution for its Vixol range of toilet and bathroom cleaning products.

 

Obrist Thailand, one of 21 GCS plants around the world, has designed a flip-top cap that ensures product integrity through a tamper-evident tear-off band. This is easily removed by pulling the grip outwards when first opening the product and its removal would be clearly visible to a consumer at the point of purchase.

 

The new cap, which replaces the previous two-piece cap with a rubber stopper that had to be pushed downwards, will prevent bottles from being refilled and resold as the genuine product.

 

“IP Manufacturing has been experiencing problems with local counterfeiting which has damaged its Vixol brand,” says Vatcharapong Ungsrisawasdi, Business Development Director of GCS Thailand. “Our innovative closure has been developed to protect their brand integrity and reassure consumers they are buying safe, high-quality cleaning products.”

 

The user-friendly closure can be opened and closed using one hand. For added convenience, the spout has been designed to resemble a tiny shower head and contains five micro-holes that offer easy and controlled dispensing.

 

“The shower head design breaks new ground for the household market in Asia,” adds Fabrice Guerin, International Product Development Manager for GCS. “The colored bottles are also enhanced by the round glossy red cap which creates a premium and appealing look and strengthens the product’s on-shelf appeal and differentiation.”

 

 

The new cap will be used to relaunch the Vixol brand, the first product to be launched by IP Manufacturing when it was founded in 1972. Today the company manufactures a wide range of cleaning and food and beverage products that are exported across South-East Asia.
